Oklahoma Certified Crop Advisers

Animal agriculture is a large segment of the economy in Oklahoma. The huge quantities of manure generated by animal feeding operations (AFO's) can be an economical source of plant nutrients and a valuable soil amendment to Improve Soil Quality and Maintain Soil pH. Thus, manure can be a valuable asset to a livestock production operation if its nutrients and organic matter are recycled through land application properly.

The Oklahoma CCA program is a voluntary certification program for individuals who provide advice to growers on crop management and inputs.

The Oklahoma CCA program is a voluntary certification program for individuals who provide advice to growers on crop management and inputs. Certified Crop Advisers meet the standards set by the American Society of Agronomy including passing rigorous examinations, maintaining continuing education and subscribing to a code of ethics.

The Oklahoma CCA demonstrates a commitment to professionalism as well as the knowledge and skills necessary to help growers produce economical and environmentally sound crops.
